Reshaping The Future of Charlotte Through Groundbreaking Conversations
We are sparking conversation. Crescent Communities recently held the second in a series of community discussions referred to as the Re: Series. Through these events, we invite our guests to reexamine, rethink, and reshape the future of Charlotte through a speaker series celebrating diverse perspectives and local talent. By sparking groundbreaking conversations, we hope to build a brighter future for our community.
The first event was held in November at the Terrace at Cedar Hill in Uptown Charlotte. We posed the question: Can a more thoughtful public realm catalyze the community connections necessary for Charlotte to be the best city she can be? The featured speaker was Ryan Gravel, the founder of Sixpitch and a noted urban thinker, designer, and author. Local entrepreneurs James and Miracle Yoder, the owners of Not Just Coffee, joined Ryan in a thoughtful discussion surrounding the topic.
On May 21st, the second RE: event titled Re:Alize was held at LaCa Projects in the FreeMoreWest community of Charlotte. Craig Robinson, the Global Head of Enterprise Services at WeWork shared his thoughts on the power of talent. He was then joined by local renowned interior designer Barrie Benson and the owner of SoCo Gallery, Chandra Johnson who commented on the power of art and design.
