Crescent Communities Announces Two New Retail Tenants at NOVEL Edgehill
Nashville, TN (June 6, 2022) – Crescent Communities announced today that it has signed two new retail tenants at its newest multifamily community in Nashville, NOVEL Edgehill, which is now leasing. Roc and Roe Salon and Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee will open within the next year to bring even more convience to residents. The two concepts will join BODYROK, a Pilates inspired studio on the ground floor of the luxury apartment community. In addition, The Mercantile has also opened in the leasing space, which will offer works from local artisans including Huck & Harlowe, Nashville Barrel Company, Project 615, Black Barn Pottery, Knockin' Roots, Tess Davies Art, and Daily Crunch Snacks.
“We are thrilled to welcome these two new retail partners to the NOVEL Edgehill community,” said Michael Tubridy, Managing Director for the Carolinas and Tennessee at Crescent Communities. “We are proud to bring new local concepts like Roc and Roe to the community, and we are excited to continue our longstanding partnership with Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee.”
Roc and Roe’s salon will be located on the ground floor of NOVEL Edgehill. The 1,100-square-foot space is designed to be an intimate salon that caters to a variety of client hair needs. Roc and Roe is owned and operated by Monroe Bostick, who has more than 20 years of experience in the cosmetology industry, and this will be the salon’s inaugural brick-and-mortar location. The salon will offer hairstyling, color services, gentlemen’s haircuts, blow-dries, private consultations, and signature treatments.
“We are honored to have this opportunity to open our first salon in Nashville and couldn’t ask for a better partner than NOVEL Edgehill,” said Bostick. “We look forward to becoming an integral part of NOVEL Edgehill and building relationships with the residents and greater community.”
Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee will also be located on the ground floor of NOVEL Edgehill, making this its second location in the Nashville market. The coffee shop will offer meeting spots for residents and visitors to gather, connect, and enjoy a variety of food and beverage offerings. In addition to traditional coffee offerings, this location will feature a tap wall accommodating up to 18 different beers as well as artisanal coffee cocktails.
“Our coffee & social is designed to serve both residents of NOVEL Edgehill and the local neighborhood as a live-work-play environment and will naturally transition from a café and workspace during the day to a lounge and social spot in the evenings,” said Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee founder Jonathan D. Golden. “We are excited to open our doors to the Edgehill community and foster a space for connections and shared experiences.”
Located just south of downtown, Nashville’s Edgehill neighborhood borders historic Music Row and The Gulch, the once-abandoned industrial area that has undergone an urban revitalization in recent years sparking new energy. A modern block with a storied past, NOVEL Edgehill is a pioneering place featuring a host of high-end community offerings such as half-court basketball, a rooftop sky lounge complete with a pool, hot tub, fire pit, and outdoor kitchen with commanding views of the downtown Nashville skyline, and a private courtyard with a bouldering wall and movie screen. The community is also pursuing National Green Building Standard (NGBS) certification.
